Oh Bill, how horrible but I am SO GLAD to hear you and Miss Hennypenny were able to get that egg out...poor little thing...its mind boggling how they get those eggs out to begin with and then add this problem...sheesh is right...

OMG chaili.....the lil roo you gave me today for the first time started crowing.....OMG i almost peed myself laughing....it sounded like a big cricket....at first i was like what the....then i saw him do it....wow its funny

Great Job Bill!!!! I'm sure your hen is very grateful. My OEGB chicks are outside now, and I haven't heard them crow, but my 5 week Serama boy is crowing already, fortunately he sleeps in, as he's still inside.

My teeny baby is not turning out to be silkied like Jerry predicted.

Well, I ordered my cages today, to make my rooster motel inside my shed. I may have to do some insulation in there, to help with the noise, the walls of my shed are not that thick. I just need to cut out the noise from dusk until my hubby wakes up. After that, the boys are fine outside all day.

So my next project is in the works....
