California Snow Pics

Oh yeah, no sudden movements (gas, brakes or steering) and stay far back from the car in front of you. Or...stay home and play scrabble!

That is correct. So what do you do when some moron in a pick up truck INSISTS on speedingup and slowing down just enough to stay RIGHT next to you, while he is fishtailing all over the road. I wanted to park and get out and smack that guy.

Very pretty, but Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

It was 31* here this am, took awhile to thaw out my car, but we are too close to the ocean to get snow, except for that rare day back in the 60's.

I subscribe to the get a 4 wheel drive vehicle, with new snow tires, load some weight in it and gun it!!!!

Almost always 4 wheel drive!

I drive past them in my front wheel drive van and laugh!

Course we've got a couple of 4 wheel drives ourselves, but we drive responsibly!!

Sometimes I wave at the guys in the ditch who think they are invincible!!

I can just hear your next post, bluey, so I'll say it for ya! "But I was just havin' fun!!!" Yeah, yeah, all the way into the ditch with a huge tow bill, unless some responsible driving woman like myself comes along with our 4 wheel drive F150 to pull you out!!!
lau.gif

Course I'd probably still drive right past ya wavin' all the way, but if you begged hard enough, I might call the tow truck for ya!!!

Just had to have a bit of fun myself!!!

luv....My wife says the same thing you say, and documents all the tough guys she sees with their big Hemis stuck in the snow,...she thinks I'm always driving too fast for the conditions...

I call my Durango "The MegaGrab" and tout it's ability to turn on a dime even on a frozen pond, just to drive her crazy!

...and I ain't never had to be towed yet!
bun.gif

That must be a function of my superior drivin' ability!

California snow? Could you please keep it there? But no, you apparently sent it our way - but if I look pathetic enough this afternoon, maybe my bosses will let me go home early. But then I'd miss being on BYC (dialup at home). Aw heck, I'll walk home.

4WD may be able to turn & start more quickly, but due to their weight, stopping is an issue. Many 4WD drivers are overconfident in their abilties to maneuver on icy roads.
