Hundreds of chickens I saw this post in the unanswered section and thought I would pass it along. Person says that Santa Barbara county animal shelter has hundreds of chickens and turkeys looking for homes. Don't forget to quarantine!

Desparate!!!! Haven't read all the posts. I am here in Covina for another 3 weeks taking care of my terminally ill motherl. Anyone near there have eggs for sale? I brought 3 dozen on the plane., but It has been 3 weeks and I am running out. Please help me if you can save me from store eggs, PM or respond here. Thanks in advance.

I just stumbled upon Winnetka Farms (google them), and they're in the west valley (LA). These two guys buy and sell organic chicken feed, and it sounds to me like they know what they're doing.

SO COOL! I got to meet another BYCer yesterday! She is in town to care for her Mom and was looking for fresh eggs, I live close enough to her so she could come and get some...Can't wait to hear if they were good!

Whatcha feed yer gremlins Dennis? Actually, I have no senses of taste and smell, so I haven't a clue if my eggs taste good or not...
My birdies get fresh fruits and veggies plus crumbles scratch..they eat better than me!

I feed my gremlins hamsters and road kill stew
