The water buffalo would be fine if you has a pool in your yard....

Now our kids adoptions are finally court approved and we just have to wait on immigration, I am planning to get a breeding pair of buffalo when I get some land here - you guys are going to be soooo jealous, but I will give you rides for a small fee when I host a meet up. And sell you the freshest and best tasting Mozzarella you have ever tasted.

First off, congrats on the adoption finalization. We adopted and it is the most magical experience ever!

And yes, if you get a pair of buffalo I will be jealous and I will be wanting some of that mozzarella!

LOL Don't talk to my hubby. He has always wanted a Yak. LOL. We don't have land for a yak. We are lucky we can have chickens. Congratulation on the finalization of your childrens' adoptions. What a blessing you are to them and they to you. :)

I'll be in Novato for a chicken seminar later this month. I might be able to bring you some hatching eggs or ? if it is really easy to connect with your breeder...and then later with you.

That is so-o-o very nice of you to suggest. My problem is I'm not a hatching eggs person. I only have 4 hens and am looking to add two Breda pullet juvies - not babies - in Spring 2015 so I'm not in a hurry. Just was hoping to find someone local where I could just pickup 2 juvies around 3-4 months old. The breeder I contacted in NoCalif seems on the ball and has a beautiful website I have been visiting online for a couple of years. I know she'll have quality but she's so FAR away. Was hoping to save stress on birds and maybe save shipping $$$ as it's not cheap. I've ordered other birds by shipment and the USPS are not the sharpest knives in the drawer for safe shipment.

Thanks for the follow up note. I try to avoid shipped chicks as well.

Congratulations, I can only imagine what a commitment the adoption process has been. Best wishes to your family expansion - kids, chickens, buffalo...=)
