Hello Everyone,

Not sure if this is the right section or not, I do know about the selling section, but as I live in West LA, I figured I'd post here as well.

I have 3 Barred Plymouth Rock hens and 1 Black Copper Maran hen all of which are around +/- 10 months old. I also have two Australorp hens that are around 8 months. I will be including coop(with water nipple system, and venting fan & automatic photosensitive swing door all hooked up to timer to transformer (no batteries needed)), run, fencing, feeders, oxine ah w/fogger, and any remaining food, bedding, and DE that I have left. I guess you could say this is pretty much a full kit/setup.

I am thinking about moving and this all may have to go.

please pm if interested or have any questions.

Hi SoCal folks! ChickenCanoe suggested I might post here about my effort to legalize chickens here in Pasadena.

I presented a motion to the Pasadena City Council a couple of months ago, asking that they change the city's ordinance (which currently restricts hens to be no closer than 50 feet from any property line) (our properties are mostly only 50 feet wide total, so it's impossible to comply) . . . to allowing hens within 35 feet of any occupied neighboring dwelling. The city is researching the matter and will perhaps discuss it publicly in the future. I need help from Pasadena residents to convince the city council that I'm not a lonely crazy chicken lady. For background info, you can visit http://www.cluckinpasadena.weebly.com

In a nutshell, I'm looking for any/all peeps who live in Pasadena CA to sign my petition http://www.change.org/petitions/let-s-really-make-backyard-hens-legal-in-pasadena-ca . Also, if you know anyone who lives in Pasadena, whether they have/want chickens or not, please get them to sign as well. Then, we need phone calls, to the city council members and the mayor's office, voicing support for the movement to allow hens within 35 feet of any neighboring occupied dwelling. I want to inundate the city offices with phone calls and emails demanding that our unjust, unfair law be changed so that we can have our hens. If people can have a doghouse on their property line, they should be able to have a chicken house. Freedom for the peeps!!!

Round up all your Pasadena pals and get active. Please?

Thanks for listening!
Cynthia
