California-Southern

Anybody here close to the Elsinore area who has some EE's or blue eggers they want to get rid of? I'm looking for 2 or 3 more layers. Don't have a lot of money and I only trust those BYCers. Thanks, Hoss.
You don't know until you ask...

is there a separate page for the meet up ?

Good afternoon fellow So. Cals... Here are the 4 new pullets to my flock. They replaced the 2 transgendered roosters that I swapped out.
This one I'm told is a black sex-link, I'm thinking it has a mix in there somewhere.

This is a Buff Orp pullet, both Orps look identical...

This is another black sex-link pullet, just a touch of copper just under her ears and waddles.

The other Buff orp pullet, lol, it could be same pic of the first, looks identical.

I forgot to ask him but I'm thinking they are the same age as the Sex link and Buff roosters that I swapped out, maybe even bros and sisters. Of course all 4 are supposed to be pullets. Of course, those informative BYC opinions are more than welcome.

Does anyone else say, "excuse me" when you go to check the nest boxes, lift the lid and see a hen sitting there trying to lay...Kinda like when you walk in on someone sitting on the toilet...

No!, So it's just me then?

OF COURSE, it would not be polite otherwise....:yesss: I also say this ridiculous little line about: "are you going to make an eggie for mama?" said in a baby talk voice.... ;)

CONGRATS on yer new girlz! :yesss: The dark one in question looks like a mix to me, maybe game bird in her??? the small comb and bristly face feathers and orange hackle feathers make me think that..also the irridescent sheen on the wing feathers....but I have been proven to be wrong on more than one occasion.... :P How old are these girlz??

My wife seems to think that I too sometimes make mistakes, I think she might wrong...lol

I forgot to ask the guy but I'm guessing they were in the same hatch (brothers and sisters) as the roosters that I returned, although they seem a tad smaller. Maybe 20 to 22 weeks. But I know how much more mine were spoiled on a daily basis....But then, my wife could be right about this thought too...

OMG, my wife is a preschool teacher, so she talks to all of us like we are kids, "Do you need to potty?"... My reply, "No honey, I a big boy now, I make potty all by my self!" lol
It gets better... When she is talking to some of her Hispanic parents, she magically gets a Mexican accent...

I caught myself again this morning.... lifted a nest lid, opps! "sorry!"

Hi! I'm in Studio City and I'm looking for a Buff Orpington Pullet, does anybody know where I can find one this time of the year?
