Today we move our small coop out of the run and into the garden. Now that So. Cal. is moving into cooler weather and some of the tomatoes are gone, it's time to put the girls to work... The coop fits over the semi-raised beds pretty good. My Granddaughter spread out some old litter from the run and added some new shavings to help dry up the soil from the rains. My Grandson and I connected the mobile watering and nipple system. We moved our 3 Buffs and a Black Sex link into the coop. It might be a little tight, but these 4 seem to sleep in here anyway because the others are still a little peckish. I'm hoping this urges them to start laying.... So they don't keep free-loading... [COLOR=B42000] [/COLOR] [COLOR=B42000] [/COLOR] If I could find another coop just like this, I think things would be perfect...

Oh I wish... This grass is the reason I have this coop. My bro-in-law owns the grass, they got chickens for the kids to experience the whole egg thing. When he saw what was happening to his beautiful yard, his OCD kicked in and wanted the coop gone. That's how my obsession started.

I have 11 chickens! I insist they free range the backyard and I check on them often. I really enjoy watching them, I admit I do obsess over them a little but.....I guess he doesn't like them pooping everywhere, but he doesn't have to clean up after them at all. I guess I talk about them too much. What can I do?
