or atleast a yak
A River Buffalo sounds good to me. Up in Oregon we had friends that had a regular bull Bison. One day it decided it was sick and tired of being locked up. He went and took a walk straight through the fence and into their little town. The sheriff had to shoot it. These animals require some serious fencing.

We had some of the meat. It was very lean and we had to mix it with regular ground beef.

Asian buffalo are bery different to bison. kids walk them along the road and normally are responsible to look after them. They are a truly domesticated animal.

They are good eating though - if fattened like a steer. The milk is awesome. In the Philippines we have swamp rather than river buffalo. Mine will only give me 3-4 kilos of milk once she is breeding. River variety give 8-18kg a day. I am looking at buying some cross breeds that will produce 6-11kg to make mozzarella
