ISO Silkie and Polish chicks near Simi Valley, Ventura County, California.

I’m looking for one of each, Silkie and a Polish baby chick. The closer to hatchling the better.
Thanks!

Jeremy

Anybody have any experiences with Aaron at East County Zoo in Lakeside? One of my chicks from him died. He's willing to give me a replacement, but this chick seemed sick and had lice/mites. My other 2 from him seem happy and healthy and everything I read online has great reviews. I'm judt a little concerned that the chick may have had respiratory problems which would lead me to want to return my other chicks. Anyone else had any issues?

I have had some birds from him before never any issues . Should be noted within the last year ish I've noticed mites to be a bit of a bigger issue . I've noticed a few other poultry keepers I'm friends with in the area also noticed the same thing and I've never really have to make an effort to treat mites before but now I always have treatment spray on hand . I keep an eye on my birds and they get checked /sprayed on a reg basis these because mites are def worse lately . So anyway long story short I wouldn't blame him for that but I'd ask him if he's aware , def bring it up so he knows , maybe he missed treating a bird or isn't aware . As for respiratory issues we are having cold , wet weather stretch so it's wise for anyone to keep an eye on their birds right now so best thing here would be to let him know if there is an issue in that regard to in case something spreads he'd want to know . I doubt he'd purposely send any birds out with issues .
Was the chick sneezing , wheezing ? difficulty breathing ?

She was having difficulty breathing, had bubbles in her eyes, and refused all fluids. I let him know this and he said to bring her back just in case, however we didn't get a chance to meetup before she passed. I asked him this morning what he thought the cause was and he said he hadn't realized his ducklings were leaking water into this particular brooder and the chick had ammonia burn. I'm not familiar at all with this, but I'm really hoping this is the case because then I won't have to worry about my other 2 who were in different brooder. Does ammonia burn sound accurate for this situation?
