Oh I so wish I could afford to live in those areas. Sucks to be me. I go through Davis occasionally on my way to Dixon. Hoping to make it there this weekend.

Thistledown farms has Swedish Flower hens and Orpingtons now for 15.00 each. They have Silver Birchen Marans, White Marans and Silkies with hatch pending for 15.00 each.

In the Spring they will sell hatching eggs too. Last year they wanted $55 per dozen for the Silver Birchen eggs. Since I don't have to pay for shipping and I should get good fertility, they would be worth it even if I only hatch half of them.

I wanted to come in after posting in the Nevada thread and share some sad news. I just finished talking to Sunny and her mom past away 2 hours ago. Gonna be a very rough time for her during all of this and I know there are people on this thread that know and love her too. She's very upset and my heart is just breaking for her.

Just hatched out 3 either Olive Eggers. Looks like Clyde made his mark before those crappy little chicken killers got him. Same thing happened when Bon Jovi was stolen. Lil Jovi hatched out of a FBCM egg. Man is he huge. BTW If anyone wants him let me know. I'll put him on CL if I don't get someone here to take him. Oh I also got one of the FBCM eggs from my girls to hatch, so out of 50+ eggs the past 4 days I've gotten 6 whole chicks to hatch.

I did a 24 hr auction. barely getting 3 eggs a day so I offered all eggs laid from 2 pens from today till I ship wednesday. I had 3 before noon and guess my girls decided since it's my birthday to lay me some eggs. I got 9! Gonna have to be a big box!

I'm driving out to Davis soon and have a blue AM roo with some gold bleeding through his hackles, my blue OE roo Lil Jovi, 2 bantam GLCochin pullets and I little bantam roo who is either a Wellie or a OEGB. Then 3 Olive Eggers I hatched out yesterday and friday. If anyone wants one of them and can get back to me before 2:30, I can take them that far. I'm going to Travis AFB and to Dixon to the Sac Valley Memorial Cemetery. I don't know either of those areas, so I can meet someone at the gate at the base or at the cemetery or the little fruit and flower stand on the other side of the freeway. Hope someone sees this and would like a pretty bird.

Going out to take Bill a birthday balloon and some flowers. Oh and probably a peanut butter cup. That man and his chocolate! We still take them to him. LOL

Thank you to both of you! (both Kims) I am doing a little better today. Remembering the good times more today which are very nice memories indeed.

I will see Candy, Kim and Karen next weekend. Really looking forward to some chick and hatching therapy. Hugs to all of you that sent condolences via pms to me. They meant a lot to me and were very touching!
