Congratulations, Kim!!!

I know my daugher is peeved! I'm not bringing it up till she does. We both gave the "finish College"lecture. Good thing babies are fun to shop for and I told her I was now going to be Aunt Kim! She's really rubbing the old stuff in on me. As long as she stays in college I'm ok, but I just have a bad feeling. Still, babies are fun when you can send them home

I saw this pic on the web and instead of thinking how red neck it looked I thought "Gee that would be a lot more efficient with a stand to rest it on, a brace at the other end and a wider fire pit".

IDK why my brain thinks the way it does! I seem to have very little control over it.

Such a surprise that this girl FINALLY started laying. This pen is 8-9 months old and I got my 1st egg today (2 blue frizzle pullets and one cuckoo cock)

BEAUTIFUL!!!

We've pitched tents in back and front yards. It would be impossible to even count how many times. I still have so many of my kitchen items in storage including most of my cooking knives. I bought watermelons for the 4th of July just before Bill died and he was having a heck of a time. He had just bought a saw and pulled it out, washed it and said "This is my new official watermelon cutter!" He stashed it on top of the fridge and it's still there. When I move and have more space to do things, I'm going to paint it and put "Grandpa Bill's Watermelon Cutter" on it. Then I'll hang it somewhere. OH and he so would have ran out for a new rack just to try this once.

OK I mainly came in to say that I am officially as old as dirt! I'm going to be a choke.........cough..........gag............GREAT Grandmother!!!!!!!

How does that happen when you are only 2 years older than me?!! I know, I know. My girls waited forever to have kiddos and the boys look like they are gonna follow suit. I told them I wanted a dozen grandchildren. They better get going! Only one daughter has filled her quota.

Don't worry folks. None of them listen to me anyway. They just laugh when I talk like this.

Don't count her out of college just yet. I took off one semester when I had my youngest then went right back! Most colleges these days have Day Care right on campus. My Mom took care of him til he was old enough for Day Care. Yes finishing my degree with a little one climbing up my leg while trying to do homework was a challenge but I did it!

Sunny I was a grandmother at 34 and this one is my oldest grand daughter, but she's the 2nd grandchild. Netx month my daughter's 3 child, another grand daughter graduates from high school. Now you all know why I'm not aging well.

I've had a kidney infection the past few days and yesterday I ended up laying on the couch watch TV and sleeping. I couldn't even make it to the store to pick up cranberry juice. Grand daughter and her BF were looking at cars and she said she was coming by today to show me her surprise. I had flashback of being pregnant with her mom and my ex trading in his car, my favorite and buying a new Camaro. I was so mad that he added a bill and I really loved the other car. It was a '69 Mustang. He ran back to get it back and it was already sold. That's how nice that car was. Anyway I guess they used every dime and she called to borrow $10, so I sent them to the store for my juice and they picked up BK for dinner for the kids and themselves. I got 2 bucks back. But I've been drinking juice since last night and I can actually stand up today.

I've already fed and watered all the animals. Looked at my poor back yard that I had half turned and is now over grown and going to be 5 times as hard to redo. I made hay racks for the rabbits the other day and got those put in. No I need to all my mechanic and see when I need to get my car in to see what was really wrong with it. I argued it was the belt I had installed last year and he kept telling me it was fine. I had hom change it anyway (he didn't work on my car back then) and this is the first time he's heard the noise I was talking about. I guess I should have mentioned it happens when the AC is running. After he took his fingers out of his ears, he shook his head at me and said he could ut it on the rack this week and see if anything he turns by hand squeels. It never ends.

I think I need to put some chicks on CL. I just can't keep up. I took my AM roo to the aucton and I'll probably get a $.50 check in the mail. I never make anything at that place, but boy others do. I went to take extra chicks from the brooder of older ones, but realized I only had 2. I had them boxed up, but Makayla ran them back outand said they were too pretty, so only one bird made it there this week.

Yea most of my friends were becoming grandparents at an early age too so I figured I better mentally prepare myself for the idea. Got comfortable with the idea then both girls waited til they were almost 30. There's just no way of knowing what life will bring.

Hope that infection clears up quickly for you and that your car gets fixed. When he gets it running ok this time sell it quick! lol Before it breaks down again.

Are you crazy? I've rebuilt that thing. LOL It's just the AC. If I had had some money when I bought it I would have had it all done in a couple of months. It's when you have to nickle and dime it that it just seems like everything is going bad. I paid for the magor issues when I first got it. Thing is I had a different shop and my car was a learn as you go project for them, so this guy has had to redo some things. The belt went on at the other shop amd that noise started. I ran the AC 3 times all last summer. It was so hot, but I couldn't take the noise. Since it also runs the heater and the noise starts when you start the car, I was just so sure it was the belt while this one was saying it wasn't. He tried to talk me out of it. He thinks something is just loose or bent. The AC works great, but that noise! OH and he's so cheap compared to the dealership and the other garage. I just found out a couple of weeks ago, he used to race them all over the world. He knows I'm dealing with the VA and he's a Vietnam Vet like Bill was, so he works with me. I told him my plan to turn it into a lawn ornament if it kept messing up. He told me that it was an expensive planter and except for little issues that I'm getting done, it's a good car. I even mentioned getting another one and he told me I'd probably be starting from scratch and be disappointed. Almost to the point I can finally get my poor van fixed that's been sitting since I first got this car. Bill had bought some parts and it had been hot so he hadn't started working on it. Then I drove it to death. Anyway I'm hoping this problem works out fast and cheap so I can get my bumper fixed from getting hit last year. My cheapest quot was $2018. He has someone who does work for him so it will be less than $300. I want to start working on cosmetics, like the mirror cover I've never had. He did talk me into waiting till he can get hold of a used one, but we've both been looking and to replace the whole mirror is just too costly. Then I'll have a paintless dent repair where the nice person in my neighborhood came up in my yard and dented it the first day I had it.

So the kids showed up to pick up the money last night and Tina's BF says with this big grin "Grandma, I'm gonna be a daddy." I told him I need to kick both of their butts, I want degrees and that they have cars. I told them if you owe on a house you can buy a car, but if you owe on a car, you can't always buy a house. OH well. Maybe they want to live somewhere besides here some day and they'll figure it out then. I also think I better work with them to train that new puppy of their's. That's going to be a big dog and I want to make sure they don't baby it or slack, cause they'll need to have control is they're also bringing a baby in the house. The babying bothers me, because I don't want him jealous of a new baby and I don't know if they've thought of that.

I'm so mad. I lost my only splash chick chick from Big Bird. I was looking forward to a Lavender layer that looked like momma. I have 3 broodies at work. Fat Chick lost her nest to ??? I can't see who's in there. It's either Shady my OE or Juliet my Game. I think they each have 9 eggs. Most are blue with one or 2 FBCMs out there. So Fat Chick will have set longer than the other. My Silver Phoenix is sitting on 6 and my other hen hasn't added to the nest. I had 7 in there, but I have no idea where it went. I think I only have one of those 2 laying, but no...... I was collecting 2 eggs a day for a while. hmmmmm

My little Lav AM chick is acting weak today. Not sure why. Figures I only got one to hatch. I have more in lockdown, so I hope I get a few this time. Reminds me I need to try and move so I can check the bator.
