Night Sunny, but when you come back in I forgot to mention I have Lav, blue and black AMs that will be laying but the time you want to start hatching again. I also have LD and need to find him some girls, so I need some blue wheaten AMs for him. Once I get them I'll have those for you too. Let's see how my Davis girls hold up. I only have a few left and didn't get any replacements this season, so depending on that happening next time I may have some of those as well. What else you looking for that I might have?

Well mostly I'm just concentrating on the marans, BCMs, which I now have plenty of but you know me, I love a rainbow of colors in my egg cartons so I'm looking for a few layers to add to my flock, that will give me a lot of different colors, in early spring. I'm not focusing on the ams any more for breeding (well, I say that but if I find some sweet tempered ameraucanas that lay gorgeous eggs that may change again) I mostly just need some laying hens that will give my egg cartons that variation that my customers love.

So if you have some EEs and a couple of olive eggers, plus I wouldn't mind some of the light brown layers as well, that would be great. PM me with what you have and what they cost and I'll place my order early so I'll be first in line come spring.

Kim, here he is, I think about a month ago. The wind was blowing; he's not usually that ruffled. His color is very striking.

WOW Pierre sure came out in him. I miss his dad. He was my first FBCM roo.

I have one here that's about 6 or 7 weeks and he's feathering in the same way. I wonder if all the roos looked more Marans. The pullets have gone either way. I've even gotten them to feather in in perfect BCM coloring. I get a lot of different coloring out of this mix. Some are marked just like the Games, some just like the BCMs and some that have coloring and marking of their own.

Threads another thread on the forum about tiny birds. I have one that came as 2 extra eggs in an order a few months ago, so I posted. Wasn;t she what she was till about a month ago and hunted down the breeder.

So I posted pics and she also posted with pics of the parents. They were beautiful. Black Tail Buff Japs. So lowrider has family pics now.

Here's her pic, please excuse the poop. I grabbed her out of the coop at night and took these with my camera phone.

She's so tiny and cute and fast! Everyone wants to hold her, but we have to chase her down to catch her and those little legs really can move!

Ok so that wasn't as funny as it felt when I was typing it. I've only had 2 & 1/2 hours of sleep in the last 48 hours. Everything seems a little more... oh I don't know, dramatic when I don't sleep. One more night like this and I better quit posting. I never know what hysterical nonsense will pop out when I go too long without sleep.

Ope! Feelin sleepy again! Gotta go try again to get some sleep.

I know what you mean by sleepy!! For the past week I've had insomnia. I took an allergy pill last night and when I finally went to sleep I was zonked out until almost 9 a.m. today.
I get nostalgic going on here and seeing others' chickens. But we are trying to find some land up in N. Michigan (UP) with a house on it. Some are less than $50000 with 39 acres!! When we do finally move up there I will definitely let my chicken addiction take over...

Nice to know I'm not alone on the insomnia thing. I did get 2 hours of sleep this morning after taking care of all the animals. I can't believe how much just a couple of hours help! I start to feel a little insane after a couple of nights without sleep. Even just 2 hours of sleep and I feel human again!

I'm gonna talk to my Dr. about it again when I go in for my next check up.
