Wanted to post this story here. They need a lot of help after a dog attack and I'm going to be sending Sumatra eggs to them. They lost a lot of birds and rabbits, so thought I'd see if there was anyone else out there that wanted to help.

LOVE the egg train idea...maybe start smaller, like just CA?
We could start it on this page.
I would be happy to haul chicks, chickens, eggs on one of my chicken runs....esp for a little gas $!
We are talking about a run north...to Deb's and Molly's. Nothing concrete yet, but that would cover Sac area to Fresno.

I started new pages for it. I've moved chicks and eggs all over, but I don't have enough people to organize and do contacts. Maybe with the 75% increase on live animals from the USPS, it will get back on track and we can get it going good again.

My bantam Langshun broody is hatching out chicks for me today. I have 2 cockerels so far. Sure hope all the rest are pullets, but we'll see if my roo curse is as strong as last year.

Can't get out there this year, but daughter #2 went to visit Bill today. My kids really loved their stepdad.

So grateful to all who have served this country to protect us. Although it is respectful to going to where they are laid to rest, I believe our departed are with us all the time.

I know Bill is. He still hides things and plays tricks on me and gives me signs that he's here.

My granddaughter just got back from Afghanistan and will be home next Saturday. We're having a big family get together for her next Sunday. I've been asked to make all the deviled eggs I can, a macaroni and crab salad and two Robert Redford cakes. I'll be busy next week for sure and it's a two hour drive over there but well worth it. My grandson also just back from Afghan (brother to the granddaughter) will be home on leave the end of June sometime. Another party I'm sure.
