Kim R, love the idea of a memorial garden for Bill! What a cool idea! My dream is to build huge gardens (part of the infrastructure for my Inn) and I already have plans drawn up (well for the acreage we no longer own but it's a start) with memorial garden paths included where folks can stroll and remember loved ones that have passed and have roses (etc) planted in their names. There are a lot more details to the plan, so I could go on and on about it but I'll save that for later.

Yea love me some game bird feed except now that I'm doing the supreme rather than the just scratch they pick the goodies out... Brats! But 75lbs last me a log time I mix a half a bag to 50lbs all purpose in my metal bin lasts me a while think I pay 21$ for 75lbs dont even have to offer extra calcium but I do anyways.

Just wanted to post a few last minute things for everyone who is planning on attending the Chickenstock tomorrow.

1.) A map to the Zoo. It's very easy to get to as it's literally just off the 580 freeway.

When you enter the Zoo you will stop at a booth and have to pay for parking, after you leave the booth take the first left. Our picnic site Lion Lookout and should be very easy to find. Look for the big BYC banner, hopefully Nifty will show up a little early and we can set the banner up to help folks navigate their way to the location... hint, hint.

2.) Parking is $7 per vehicle.

3.) Wear layers! We're expecting crisp fall weather in Oakland tomorrow, so make sure you wear clothes that you will be comfortably warm in. However the weather here can change suddenly so don't bundle up in a parka and furs...

Here is the most recent forecast for tomorrow.

We should be dry all through the event (

) but clouds will most likely start rolling in as the party winds down. Just in case the weather turns poor, please check this thread tomorrow morning before you leave your homes. I will be up early and make sure everyone knows whether or not the party is going to happen as scheduled or if we have to cancel the event due to rain. As of right now we are still planning on having the Chickenstock!

Just please, check for updates tomorrow before you head to Oakland.

Yes the all purpose is a exactly that an all purpose feed without the added calcium, which is nice because I don't have to worry about my boys eating it. Then my girls just eat oyster shell if they please, never had an issue with egg shell hardness with or without the shell.
