I'm doing a staggered hatch in a Sportman with a turner that went out, so I hope the ones due the end of the month will be ok.

I've been having post office issues. Its pretty hit or miss, I go from none hatching from 2 shipments of eggs (alot were broken) to having 90%+ on my EEs. I have some hatching early next week, if all 5 make it that'll be 33% hatch rate, but i'd still like to get some for this little guy. I have my little Puffers in with 2 week olds, maybe he'll do well with a newborn.


OH! I know I told you guys about hawks getting my chicks, well the last 2 disapeared after getting a roof and then today while I was building a new coop I turn around and see one of my sisters dog running around with part of my little barred rock, Squeakers! You'd better believe if that dog had been any slower he'd be squeaking

We have the same problems up here with shipped eggs. They just don't do well no matter what! If I hatch my own eggs or get them straight from the breeder they are fine though.

I feel so terrible for what you are going through with the dog! I had the same problem once and it was all I could do to stop myself from... Well, better not to revisit that rage again! My new coop is well away from the dogs now. Just in case. Unfortunately humans aren't the only animals that love the taste of chicken.

I miss my Polish and haven't been able to get a single one to hatch. All shipped! Please someone help me run the Egg Train! Someone with a brain.

Speaking of the Train, if there's someone headed towards Fresno and passing Modesto in the next couple of days? If they hatch I can send them.

Sunny the day before Bill died he told me to contact my little Taz's breeder. First Toy I had owned in almost 40 years. Bill had a friend he had worked with at one of the hospitals watch his while we moved. He was just under 4 pounds. We stopped by to talk to them and see how he was doing and when we drove off and they walked inside he took off. We went back in the area several times looking for him and people had seen him, but he'd take off before they could catch him. I miss his little spoiled butt and I have no idea after decades of working breeds why I wanted him so bad. My kids and friends were shocked and picked on me. Deep down he was a Corso. LOL Now a 4 pound dog I can feed on top of the monsters around here. Anyway I was going to see if she had one related to him and never got the chance. It's hard losing pets. I'm trying not to make every chicken a pet, but it's hard. Ask Karen. I lost 3 roos in one day and she was the person I called to cry to. Maybe it's just the fact that I keep losing so much that gets to me. IDK

Think I'll go look at puppies. I tried sitting with my nose to the bator, then remembered hatch day is tomorrow so I stopped tapping on the door. LOL
