Hi just wondering if galith jumbo Japanese quail be housed with Californian quail

Not a good idea. They generally don't get along unless you have a large aviary and a low population.

Both breeds I have are only baby's atm so any tip or hints are appreciated as new to keeping quail

I would suggest starting here, then post any specific questions that you have. I don't know much about raising CA quail, but I've been raising coturnix (Japanese) quail for a while now.

What have you found to be the best feed for the Japanese quail at the moment their on the game bird finisher pellets but is there any fresh foods I can feed them

I feed mine Purena Startena for the first six weeks, then Bar Ale game bird crumble when they're adults.
