Call Duck Egg

Call ducks fly very well, as a matter of fact. They seem to prefer to stay on the ground, but they sure can take off when they want to, and fly across a large yard!!

I have clipped geese and ducks capable of flight in the past. Generally they won't try to fly unless others are flying around them, but if frightened, they could take off. I don't like to take the risk...

Oh, you meant fly OFF, as in leave your property and not come back??? They'll probably stay home - they like comfort. Call ducks basically fly when startled or when they want to get somewhere quickly and there is a barrier to that, so they just fly over it. Or when you're trying to catch them......

But they don't gather in flocks to fly south for the winter or go visiting other ponds miles away or anything like that. They're just capable of flight.
