I actually acquired this one from a private breeder. She’s one of the new littles that I picked up two days ago. I was told that she was a butterscotch. She sure is adorable!

Well I’ve been sitting with the ducklings and watching them and I’ve noticed that the little butterscotch does this every time she eats it drinks. After the water comes out her nostrils and she sneezes. A couple of minutes later she goes back to normal and breathes normally with no water by the nostrils. It’s not a significant amount of water but I don’t know why she’s doing this as I’ve never seen it. She still acts completely fine and runs around with the others. I’m just baffled by this. @Isaac 0 or @Miss Lydia or anyone else have any suggestions to this.

Even my adult ducks will have water come out of their nares when they dunk their heads. Is this what you mean it happens after she dunks her head?

Ok I’ve got a video, mind you it isn’t a very good one. She still runs around and quacks but I picked her up so you can get a view of what she does after she drinks. It goes away right away and I try not to pick her up when she has water in her nares. At the end of the video you can see what she does. I’ve never seen one of my ducklings do this. I also added a brief description to the video.
