Very cute. I would replace the newspapers with puppy pads or wood shaving bedding. Ducks cans get played legs with this, which is when their legs go out to their sides and then cannot support their body weight.

Looks like the newspaper was from the box she got them in. In the other pictures posted, there is hay in their brooder.

Yes, @viennaproto is right. The newspaper was just for the trip home. They are now happy in their brooder. Thank you for making sure. I wouldn’t leave them on a slippery surface. They now have a puppy pad with hay over it. They are settling in good as well.

Yes, call ducks are batnam breed of duck that stay smaller than average ducks. They come in many different colors. You don’t sound dumb, it is good to ask questions. I really like these charts that show the colors.
