If you duckling is still breathing heavy, best to have her taken to a vet. If there is a substantial amount of fluids in the lungs, antibiotics may be needed to prevent a possible infection from occurring.

I think that you and @Miss Lydia will be happy to hear that the little butterscotch is doing great this morning. It is running around a lot and is very energetic! It is no longer breathing through its mouth and the water is no longer coming out of its nostrils. I’m very happy. She’s also quacking very loud! :love Thanks for all the help that all of you guys give me. I’m probably a bit too anxious and overreact sometimes but I just love them to pieces. I think that she is going to be just fine. I forgot to add that- This was also after I added a different waterer so I wonder if that might have been the cause?

I thought I’d post a picture of the sweetie as well. I’m so relieved. :love
