Aww. Well I’m glad he made it out! I’ve had a couple “feet over heads” that needed assistance but that photo is very informative. Such a cute little duckling as well.

Ok I’ve got a video, mind you it isn’t a very good one. She still runs around and quacks but I picked her up so you can get a view of what she does after she drinks. It goes away right away and I try not to pick her up when she has water in her nares. At the end of the video you can see what she does. I’ve never seen one of my ducklings do this. I also added a brief description to the video.

So glad she is doing better! I cannot stop watching this video it is too darn cute!

Sweet little butterscotch was doing better but she sadly passed away. I don’t really know why she passed away but it’s really sad.

Well a couple of updates and a few questions are in order. Things have been going well around here! The little grey pied and blue fawn ducklings are growing a lot and doing great! All the older calls are doing great as well. They can fly now! They fly laps around my yard and it is so fun to watch. The other day I saw Splash, my male black bibbed, Mount Squeegee my female snowy. Which brings me to my next question; when will the older calls start to lay eggs? I know for my Jumbo Pekins it was around 4 months. Finally my second question is when can I introduce the ducklings to them. I was thinking at about 1 month. They are around 2 1/2 weeks now. When they are 1 month my older call ducks will be around 3 months. And I thought I’d also add some pictures as well!
