I have 2 call duck eggs incubating and just entering day 27, they are still moving but none have internally pipped yet.
One little guy has been pushing on the membrane for at least 2 days but the air cell seems to be quite floppy if that's the right way to describe it...any advice please?

ok thanks, so is this normal for call ducks?

Actually they do very well hatching....Keep waiting its normal....Hatching takes a couple of days..Leave them so they can externally pip the shell and then leave them longer..Do not open the incubator they need the humidity to hatch....

thank you, they have both internally pipped now so fingers crossed....these 2 are the only ones out of 12 that survived the postal system, so i'm really pinning my hopes on these little ones.

I have 8 call eggs under a first time mom, we are at day 24. 2 years ago, my other call pair were first time parents and the mom trampled the eggs when they started moving. I only saved 2 of the 11, and it was so hard... I can't stress hard enough, don't intervene unless you absolutely have to! They are small, mighty little ducks. But, it takes them time because of their size!
