Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Words could never express how much your kind condolences meant to me. I woke up this morning feeling so low. So sad. Remembering the pure joy I felt at watching them turn from eggs, in to the most beautiful creatures I have ever seen. Then seeing them breathe their last. That was heart wrenching.

Your kind words Brought peace to my heart. I will try again, and I will hatch those blues. Bringing these beautiful creatures into this world would be such a blessing. To learn how, a gift that can never be properly repaid. A pair of blues will just have to do.

My daughter Christal  helped me with the hardest part. I was removing the shell from the air sac and getting the beaks out.She finished  cleaning around the face, and getting the water out. She always has been such a blessing. My  daughter, my friend, my confidant.

You are all starting to feel like family too.

Thank-you. :)
                            For all you have done!

I am so sorry Mom :( I have had my own amount of heartbreak trying to hatch chickens... And call ducks are much more difficult. You will get it. I know you well enough to know you don't back down. You mean the world to me. Chin up- love you.

Awwww that's so great, understand you are talking to a bunch of hoarders lol and man oh man we will do whatever it takes to make you one too.. Every hatching is a learning experience, you learn you change and sooner or later you get better and better at it. That's when you become like us HOARDERS. LOL

SO noooo you can't give up on this you must try again, it's really the only way to heal. Once you become successful OMG, THE JOY THE FEELING IS SOOOOO OVERWHELMING, that's when all the diseases kick in...and you will be soo experienced that YOU will be giving advice to us...

It took me tons of eggs, tons of time, tons of losses, but I was determined to hatch these little buggers out. You too will be at that stage...so YES you must try again! So go get those eggs let's get the shells rocking and a rolling ....plus you already have TWO ORDERS FOR SOME EGGS, BETTER FILL THOSE ORDERS. LOL

That is so sad! Instant heart break.

She must not have noticed the eggs when they were laid. How terrible for you. I hope you are OK.

It was soooo horrible because to top off the story, I had order showgirl paints from another person because I didn't know my paint friend had them, and they all came to me with loose air cells and started to delevelop but stopped. So to see a fully developed showgirl paint, omg I just couldn't believe it. That was a double, triple and again take... No way was this happening and my guess is that they probably would have made it if the **** post office didn't shake the eggs so bad.. They were well insulated and protected but due to being rough handled they could only take so much..

Just a little me update.

My three Anconas due sat/sun are down to two. The one I thought quit a few days ago did. The other 2 appear to be OK, so we will see.

All 3 call ducks are still alive and moving great.

Sorry about the loss of the one and hope the others all keep up the fight and make it out ok. I had 3 that quit so now have 23 little call eggs still blossoming in there. 13 more days for them :)

Thanks I hope at least these last 2 make it. It was $35 for a dozen shipped so great deal (or so I thought). I apparently have bad luck with the ones I really spend out on. Ha.

Is that 23 from the 60 eggs you got? Did you have a bunch of blood rings or were the others just infertile?
