Call Ducks Finally Hatched

I know. I could only be so lucky.

The person with the calls I posted above has failed to get back to me despite multiple messages. He even said in his post he would ship, very disappointing.

Also, Im fairly certain one of the 3 call eggs has quit. I need a change of luck!!!

That sucks. They could at least tell you they're sold or something.

Why do you think all eggs have quit. Just yesterday you said all were great. They rarely quit this late in the game.

Why do you think one out of the three has quite, are you not seeing movements?? I would hang tight for at least a couple of more days before doing anything..

So you on day 23 you can jack up that humidity... Good lord let the stress begin!!!!

Wewww. I'm glad I read that wrong. I though it said ALL 3 had quit. That's what I get for trying to function at 2 am after being up for almost 24 hrs lol

Found out why. He just posted them all. Now instead of $50 a pair he is asking $50. Even though they are worth that he is not getting my business. He had several people asking to buy different ones (that he had priced at $50 a pair) now he's re-priced them all. I'm guessing because so many people responded. Funny how tons have seen his new pictures but noone has commented that they want them. Maybe they feel the same way I do.

Yes no movement at all. And I can't see veining either. Looks like the others that I've had quit in the past. The other two are fluttering and I can still see the veining.

Hi Lori,
My eggs arrived Today. 24 of them.

They were packaged really good. The eggs were in cartons packed in shavings. The 2 cartons were attached together with plastic wrap, then packed snugly in soft foam.

They have loose air sacks, but just a little loose. Not like the last ones. It says on your lazy method page that I should wait 8 to 24 hours to put them in the incubator. I would like to wait until Monday to put them in so their hatch day will be at the beginning of my weekend

Can I safely wait two days to put them in? I don't think it would be a good idea to take them 30 miles on a winding road during lock down. I want these to hatch as healthy as possible!

Yay congrats. I'm not Lori :) but it depends on how long ago they were laid. The longer they go without incubating the less viable they will be. Usually after 7 days viability starts to decrease drastically until day 14 when there will be almost no viability. I waited 2 days to put my last batch in but I knew they were only in shipping for 2 days. You will want to leave them standing up with small end down and still rotate/lean them side to side at least twice a day. I also leave them this way when I start incubating ones with loose air cells and then lay them down once I see development at day 4-5. Good luck with your new little ones!

Oh! thank you for your reply. I should be just fine waiting. Much better than not being home when they hatch. And!!! I am getting call ducks from the 3 roses farm. Happy happy...

They should be fine. Just keep them cool and don't forget to rotate them. Congrats on the calls from 3 Rose. They're beautiful!
