Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Check out Lily's little feathers coming in above her wings :)

Omg that is so pretty!!! What do you think she's going to be???

Lol. I'm thinking so. She may just be extra heavily pied but we'll see.

I had another quitter last night with the new batch. 2 others that weren't fully absorbed. I left the humidity up around 65-70 overnight and kept getting up every hour to wet their yolk with a qtip. By morning they had absorbed and had kicked their shells off. They're still much weaker than the other 11 that are running all over the place but I'm hopeful. For now the 2 are just resting and drying. There's 1 that has 1 of his legs behind him so I'm going to band his legs together tonight when I move them to the brooder. The 1 in this clutch that I thought was a black bibbed is actually more chocolate so I'd like to keep him. I can just switch the colors around and do a white from this clutch and a black bibbed from the last clutch if you still want them. I will be headed out early on Sunday so will probably be up that way around 7:30am. You can have the 2 for $30 if that works for you. Just PM me your number and I can call you when I'm on my way. Hope your little guy is doing well.

He's kind of in the same spot as yours that weren't fully absorbed. He finally got the shell off by 7AM this morning but he's having issues getting his feet under him. Keeps falling on his side. I think I'm overreacting so I'm trying to leave him alone. Luckily I had some button quail hatch in my other incubator a couple days early. I tossed them in with him and they are all crowded around him encouraging him.

I may pass for now. I've decided to order an egg turner for this incubator so I can get more eggs next week.

I'm going to put the single Ancona in with the bob white chicks, then leave this little call with the buttons until he's strong enough and able to get put in with the Ancona.

Try a drop of polyvisol if that doesn't help he needs some vitamin b complete, vitamin b helps mainly with leg issues..

Ok. No problem. I was having a hard time deciding to let them go before they were feathered anyway lol. I would be very careful putting the call and the Ancona together though. The Ancona is always going to be much larger than the call and can severely injure or kill him, even accidentally. Not something I would ever recommend doing. Hope your little one gets his feet under him soon! :)
