Call Ducks Finally Hatched

One of the white ones. I haven't picked 1 specific yet. They all look about the same to me except the 2 late bloomers . There's 5 in this hatch and already have 3 from last hatch.

Just wanted to update everyone on the new hatch. 11 are doing great, 1 is doing good and 1 is fair. The 2 that needed help are super tiny and slowly gaining strength. The 13 of them are all snuggly and super cute!

There look to be 6 white, 2 blue fawns, 1 blue magpie, 1 blue ?, 1 gray, 1 black with a white bib and white belly (maybe magpie ?) and I'm not sure what the 1 is at the bottom. He has the markings of a gray except his markings are brown instead of yellow. Guess we'll have to wait and see

Awe yay he is adorable! So if they are black like that does that mean they will be black as adults? Or how does that work with calls?

Yes. His feathers are already coming in. He will be black with a white chest. Usually when black as baby their feathers will usually be black also. Yellow will usually be white. Sometimes patterns will show up when they feather that weren't there when they were babies though. Like this one that was yellow as a baby with a single faint black spot on his back and is now getting black spots all over as he feathers. You can still see his little black spot on his back

Lily was also mostly yellow with a tan head when she was a baby and now she's getting all kinds of markings

Okay cool. That's generally how it goes with the Anconas too, but sometimes when they are yellow as ducklings they have light spots and wind up being silvers, lavenders or blues.

That's what makes it so hard for me to sell the white ones before they feather lol.
