Call Ducks Finally Hatched

That's what makes it so hard for me to sell the white ones before they feather lol.

Totally don't blame you, lol. With the Anconas it's next to impossible to get a solid white. So any that hatch out all yellow I get so excited because they are most likely the prettiest colors.

The first one I hatched out I checked him out after they were all killed. I hadn't had a chance to look at his markings up close, he was a lavender :/

That sucks. So sorry that happened. You will have to keep me updated with pictures when the calls start feathering out. Would love to see what yours feathers out to be also.

Oh definitely will! I'm super bummed, it's causing me to miss out on the silver pair, blue fawn pair, and magpie female. All had been shown and did well. He offered me SUCH a good deal, but I have to reserve that money to build my ancona flock back up, so the calls are getting put on the back burner.

The good news is I now don't have to freak out FWC, although I did call them and they said not to worry I wouldn't be fined they are there to help, blah. But still nice to have extra time to get everything built. We went out and bought all the fencing today for our dog fence and the duck coop fencing.

Ill be happy with an all white or spotted one if that happens! I don't have either

Just wanted to update everyone on the new hatch. 11 are doing great, 1 is doing good and 1 is fair. The 2 that needed help are super tiny and slowly gaining strength. The 13 of them are all snuggly and super cute!

I'm having babies, my calls are two days early, I have one working his way out and two others are cracking... There's a total of 8, I'm soooo nerves..... LOL..

Whew!! Worth It farms has a bunch of ducklings that are just a couple days off from my loner!!!!! Whoot!!! Getting about 10-12 from them.

Awww. Baby time. I love baby time. My smallest little weakling didn't make it but the other is doing well. Can't wait to see pictures of your new little ones

Got my self in a real pickle, my hens were sitting on some eggs for me and I put the date 11/8 on them so I can keep track of there due date, well it came and gone no babies yet so I brought them in the house threw them in the incubator perfect time because the ducks are due. Decided to open them up and omg sooooooo much water, not sticky, just floating in water..I tried to dry them up of course they aren't absorb, after an hour and half, there tissue that I have them laying on still have spots of water.. I don't have much hope in them making, but we gave them a drop of polvisol changing there tissue ever hour and hoping for the best. Anyone have any clue as to why these guys would have soooo much water when my hens were sitting on them? The only thing I can come up with is the snow. They go out to get there drinks or to stretch and the snow sticks to there foot feathers. Sounds stupid bit I can't figure any other logical excuse...

One of the babies didn't make it but the other one is still struggling..
