Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Ok now I just have to get some magpies. So cute! Adorible. Sweet.!!!!!

I think I might have gotten my incubating skills sharpened to a fine point. I put in chicken eggs to hatch a week before the indie and call ducks. Like little test buddies. They are starting to hatch. They are not wet or stickey, not dried out. Just perfect! About time huh?

Next week will come the little dukies. The are very active in their shells. I have high expectations for them. I think it is going to happen this time.:)

Thanks. They're not magpies but will make some beautiful magpie babies when paired with some of the others I have. These are a penciled pair and a blue penciled pair :)

That's the beauty of swapping eggs :)

Congrats. Will be looking forward to some pictures :). Put me on the list for some mandarin eggs in the spring lol. If you're interested in an egg swap I can send you some call duck eggs. By then I will have my flock thinned to just blue fawns, penciled, pieds, magpies, silver apricots, buff, a couple gray hens and a couple white hens. Oh and maybe a couple that should be hatching the week after next :)

Just hatched at my friends house!! My ancona babies! So far I am picking up 20 from her. She's got 20 more eggs due to hatch so if they don't get me my license soon the number is going to keep going up!!

Wow. I would be calling them to find out what's going on. After they did my initial inspection my license came the very next week.

Cute babies!!!

I blame it on my impatience. You have no idea how often stuff like this happens to me. The investigator said it could take up to 6 weeks. If I don't get it by the end of next week I will call them. Lol

Clousert was Lilly "yellow" as a hatchling?

My yellow hatchling from the 3 from Loris eggs is starting to feather out and get that same pattern that Lilly had. Do you have any updated pictures of Lilly?

The one that looks like a light phase mallard is feathering out cool too. I will try and get pictures tomorrow.

We have a reptile show to go to in Orlando so not 100% that I will have time!
