Wow she is really pretty. Mine was completely yellow as a duckling. But that pattern on Lilly's wings is what mine is getting now. Cool! Can't wait to see what she looks like.

Thanks. I love her markings. She has beautiful dark iridescent blue wing tips. She is super tiny too. Maybe yours will just have an all white head. Or maybe she's a snowy. I love trying to figure out colors. The anticipation kills me though lol

I know!! What's really interesting is it came from Lori. Who has all dark calls with the exception of one. Lol

The ducks built a nest!!! No eggs, but this is this first time building a nest!!! Ps, it was in a garbage can. Lol. We had a ton of garbage cans so I sterilized one to use as a "nest box" for them, guess they like it!!!

Awesome. Mine are weird too. They have a nice luxurious coop with lots of fluffy straw but they decide to dig a hole in the dirt under the coop to build their nest lol. Crazy birds :) Hope yours start laying soon.

Haha yes they are!! I'm going to buy some bushes to plant in their run too. Thought they would like that.

One day I will go out there and there will be egg(s). Ha.

For now I have Vera's chicks to distract me. They go on lockdown today. Out of the almost 3 dozen I only pulled 5 duds. The rest (except the marans they are too dark to candle) are alive and kicking, so definitely her bator and not her fertility!

Yes me too. Just have to do a little research to make sure I get ones that are safe since I'm sure they'll eat them.

That's awesome on Vera's eggs. I know she said that she had temp too low and humidity too high so hopefully that's all it is and can be easily adjusted.

I need to find homes for my quad of black bibbed and pair of white calls. So if you know anyone. The black bibbed boys are a little on the larger side but not too awful. I ended up with 3 boys and 1 girl with them. Stinks that they can't be let out and have min requirements for their run. The Anconas must have to have even more space. What limits do they set on them?

I'll post them on the farm and garden site up here. Do you have pictures/price?

Yeah see I thought that too but the inspector said no. That they had the same requirements. (He also thought my grey calls were mallards). I'm pretty sure that the larger breed ducks are supposed to be 100sq ft for 4, increase 25% per extra bird.

We are making a 100ft by 16ft run so not sure how many that covers? Then later I'll probably add other stuff as we go along. The pen the calls are in is like a freakin fortress. It also was about $600 in materials ha. That is going to be decreased by A LOT. Will be ordering bird netting instead of using 2x4 wiring for the top.

Oh and I found your Craigslist ad, I'll copy the info and post it on the farm and garden for Sanford. If anyone is interested we can do a little swap in cocoa via Vera or something if you want. I go to pretty much every auction and I have to take the chicks to Vera when they hatch so they'd just be hitching a ride.
