^^ blue butterscotch.

Call me crazy but is there any difference??

I try not to use UK colors. The US color for silver Appleyard actually looks like the silver appleyards, the breed. I cannot find any pictures of the blue butterscotch. They will throw 25% regular butterscotch though.

Sorry. I meant blue appleyard. They just look like a darker version of the silver appleyard. Call Breeders of America shows their picture

I would be right there when they start to zip, actually as soon as they zip, you can safely remove the top part of there shell, by then they should be fully absorbed, if they weren't they wouldn't be zipping..

Did they have little tiny beaks?

Not as small as I expected given how small both of their parents are, but still very small

Ah thanks for that!!

I don't think I'm going to buy them. Holderread is a GREAT farm, and it would be awesome to have a pair of their call ducks, but I can either buy the one pair from them,

Or

I can get 10 ducklings from the lady with magpies, plus get 12++ hatching eggs off eBay from somebody that has both magpies and butterscotch in their flock.

So I think I am going to go for the eggs and ducklings!! The ducklings Im buying from her are due to hatch this weekend. 15 eggs!!! Hope they all hatch so I have a variety to choose from!!

Gasp! Who?! Me?? NO.

Oh I forgot to add there's another dozen eggs on eBay I'm buying.....

And that I'm considering only have a small flock of Anconas, like 2 drakes and 8-10 hens.

And instead I'm going to build up the call duck flock.

Are you bidding on the 12 pet and show with magpies on ebay? If so I won't bid on them. It did seem funny that most of them were in large pens, and a few like the magpie were in small cages. ??? Do they include those in the ebay sells too. Just seems odd to me.

I don't know is anybody has noticed this... but those little call ducklings are messy little buggers! Food and water strown everywhere.

Yes I am. Normally I would go ahead and tell you to bid and I would wait but it's supposed to be my v-day gift. Lol.

She has listed them 3 times now so she will list more again!!!

They mention in the ad that none of them are separated by color right now. The smaller pens are what I separate mine into when someone is wanting a specific color. Need to build some for the calls. Right now just have the ones for the chickens. I'm sure that's probably what they do also.

Yes, ducks are VERY messy lol
