Lacrystol... any luck with the magpies from the info I sent you? The guy I ordered this batch of eggs from (coming next week) has magpies so I'm hoping I will get lucky and hatch one out

No Luck, I asked if he had eggs and he said no. I would rather start with eggs then get an adult I'm sooo afraid of them carrying something and me bringing it home to my flock. it's my BIGGEST FEAR. May sound stupid of me but I just won't bring in someone else's chicken or duck home because I have read so many stories on diseases etc. So If I can't hatch them, I won't get them. I know your thinking That's pretty freaking selfish of you and maybe it is but I really am scared to take the risk. but I appreciate the link and everything..

WHAT, YOU HAVE MAGPIE EGGS. OMG, CAN YOU GET SOME FOR ME? ILL TAKE CARE OF THE COST OF COURSE....
 
You know the first step, let them set, some people let them set for 24 hours, I only let my set for 8, once your ready to put in, candle them, look for loose air cells those eggs will need special attention for 5 days. the ones that are intact, LET THE PROCESS begin... WOOO HOOOOOOO

Understand completely. I only bought my first as adults because they were my first and all came from the same breeder.

The eggs are mixed colors. The seller wouldn't separate. But he does have magpie so I'm hoping for 1 at least. And a blue and a butterscotch and another penciled lol

Well Don't freak on the Loose Air Cells, they can still develop, Veining no biggy, Close to hatching YES, that's the time to freak so you calm down until then. LOL
