Call Ducks Finally Hatched

I vote jail! They're so tiny, anything could get them!

We had a turkey doing that for the longest time but come to find out that was her "time" to go off and lay her egg. Then she tried to set... We don't have a Tom so kinda pointless for her :/

Are you positive she isn't laying? Maybe she's an odd ball and her cycle came sooner than you thought it would. I can't imagine why she would stray from the flock otherwise, especially at night.
OR maybe there's a handsome wild Mallard in those bushes

She's definitely not laying, in fact, I didn't have to put her in jail tonight, she actually stuck with the group and planted herself in the coop. Guess she just wanted a couple of days off to get away from the boys for a while. CRAZY DUCKs..

I only have the calls right now, my colors are butterscotch, Mallard/grey, Bibbed in chocolate and black/white, Snowy, Pure black, Pure Chocolate and silver. Not sure why but for some reason they call the Mallards Greys? but that's my colors.. No magpies or blues. grrrrr.. One thing about calls they are NOISY and LOUD. LOL

Nesting would have been my first guess too but glad she stayed home with the clan last night. Good luck. I would be terrified too if one of my babies didn't come home!!

Lacrystol... any luck with the magpies from the info I sent you? The guy I ordered this batch of eggs from (coming next week) has magpies so I'm hoping I will get lucky and hatch one out
