Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Alright I'm done. I am no longer buying call eggs. Swaps, and live ducklings/pairs from now on.

My last purchase tied the knot. SQ eggs off eBay, AND there was a heat pack RIGHT UNDER THE EGGS. They were just as warm to touch as my eggs in the bator!!! I threw them right in the bator, I seriously hope they are ok.

WHY WOULD SOMEONE DO THAT?!

Ugh.

Tammy has anyone claim your eggs on that swap page yet? If not I will. Need something to put me in a Better mood >.<
ouch sounds like they did it because they check the temp in your area and wanted them to have the best success as possible. OUCH though

I don't know how people incubate their call eggs at 30-40% humidity. I have 2 that have internally pipped and they look almost as bad as Lori's did with the fan incident. I just can't keep humidity down with all this rain we've been having. I haven't added a drop of water and still humidity has been in the upper 20s to high 30s. Uggg. I hope they make it out. I will be there to help as soon as they start zipping. They're not actually due until Monday but everything I put in this incubator seems to hatch a day early. Will watch for external pips and be up all night waiting for zipping if I have to

I hear ya lady. I dry incubate too and have the same problem, it still runs 30-40%.

I put a stuffed Gorilla in my ducklings box and they didn't poop on him at first but after a few days they suddenly did. Maybe my next ones wont, I hope so! :) Very cute ducklings!
