Now here's the SAME egg after I sucked out the gooy stuff

Now he's able to move around freely
Did he hatch ok?
I get chicken eggs like that all the time. Have never had a duck egg like that though. The chicks hatch fine so hopefully the ducks will too. The air cell in my chick eggs always attaches somewhere as the chick gets bigger and It doesn't have room to float around anymore. The worst ones were the cochin banties I did last month. 17 of 24 hatched though so not bad on shipped eggs with crazy air cells IMO![]()
O sorry 2 hatched out of 5 so far, one died, so 2 to go. The membrane is yellow an realyy gooey like snot so prepared to jump in, I'm going 2 check at midnight than the morning.
Hatching day is next Friday. But the wet cotton ball on the hole seems to be helping a lot. It seems to add moisture inside the shell loosening up that gooy stuff.
Still waiting on 4 polish, 1 silkie and 2 Easter Eggers. After these I have another batch going into lockdown for hatch next week. Mostly polish, cochin bantams, and silkies in the next batch but do have a couple swedish flower and Easter Eggers going in along with a couple calls if they make it to lockdown
I just love babies!!
