Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Fingers crossed for all the babies. I only had the 1 call egg in lockdown but several chicken eggs. I think so far we're up to 1 call, 4 polish, 2 silkies, 3 Ameraucana and 4 Easter Eggers Still waiting on 4 polish, 1 silkie and 2 Easter Eggers. After these I have another batch going into lockdown for hatch next week. Mostly polish, cochin bantams, and silkies in the next batch but do have a couple swedish flower and Easter Eggers going in along with a couple calls if they make it to lockdown I just love babies!!

Yay!!! Me too!!! I have the 8 to hatch Saturday, then I have 3 to hatch Wednesday (ordered off eBay from the person with the magpies so fingers crossed) and then Anconas, then calls, then geese, then calls. Lol

ONE CAME BACK, the bibbed I saw this morning came back, I'm soo glad because there was a group of three that stuck together and he was part of this group, when he was gone oh man alls that other one did was quack ALLL night calling the other two back so I'm glad he did come back, perhaps now the rest will. COME ON SASSY IM STULL COUNTING ON U TO SHOW UP. I find myself looking in everyone's yard now lol

Oh and I have a girl that is sitting woooo hooooo

If you let one sit do the others leave the nest alone and continue laying???

I was thinking about letting one of mine sit, but I'm afraid they'll all stop laying....

Lockdown?? At 50%% girl get that up up to 65 and if they are sticky 70 to 75..

If its still in the egg turn in so that the ducklings is covering the yolk. Up the humidity so the yolk doesn't dry out, cut up some onions and put them in the bator with the duckling.

Is it chirping?? Making noise?? Moving??

Yes he's is very active and pulling away from it, an it's a VERY small amount of yolk too

Okay. Yeah make sure the humidity is up so the yolk can finish absorbing. Leave him in the bator until its fully absorbed.
