Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Someone else in the incubator is peeping very loudly lol. I can't figure out which one. No external pipping.

The duck peeping has a mess of blood in his egg. I realize, he may have done himself in I found his bill and got it free from the blood. It looks like it's clotting so... Fingers crossed. It was all over his bill and in his nose holes. His foot is there as well. It looks like that's where it started bleeding from. I will keep him moist and hope for the best. Hopefully he didn't lose too much blood. His breathing was really fast until I got his bill exposed and cleared of blood. Seems to have calmed and even quited down from the frantic peeping he was doing. Still peepin and moving, but just seems calm.

Your temp is OFF, it's way to high if they are coming out Early, this could cause some future problems. Just saying. You really should have a gage that gives you temp and humidity. the guessing game doesn't always work out, exspecially if your trying to hatch out calls.

I got a brand new thermometer because I didn't trust the one she had. I couldn't find anything in my tiny town for humidity. Next time for sure, I will make the long drive to a bigger city or go to an internet sales site for something better. What kind of gauge do I look for?

Goodness, if I had half a brain... I totally spaced and forgot to tell you that 3 of the duck eggs I'm hatching had a momma sitting until 9 out of the 12 she was sitting on got smashed. These two are from that batch.

I TRIED, I TRIED GUYS. A fox came in the yard and was STARING down my calls, they were smart, they went Right into the coop minutes before the Fox arrived.

I saw him and ran out with my jack Russel scream "WHAT IS YOUR SOUND? WHAT DOES THE FOX SAY?: needless to say he did NOT answer me so the Mystery CONTINUES...

GRRR, Ill get that sound alright, even if I have to catch him myself!!!!

Walmart!!?? That's almost the only store we have here! What exactly am I looking for? Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong department or for the wrong thing? I've been through the whole store! Lol

I'm sorry I forgot! I remember needing to watch for the dip in the air pocket because I didn't know how long she had been sitting. (Thank you for all that wonderful info for me to learn in the last month by the way). But I totally forgot when I panicked lol
