Call Ducks Finally Hatched

So one duckling was alive this morning. Had his little head out and was breathing but not great. Cleaned him up as much as possible. Hopeful but wont know how he is doing until I get home at 3:30....

what's the result since this post, Lacrystol? I am afraid to ask.
the second one was dead in the shell, not much we can do there, he had a LOT of gooy stuff, my guess is he suffocated. Once we made a hole in his membrane, he said gooy stuff just poured out. It's clear that he has a humidity issue, he told me that his bator is in the basement so that could be the problem.

The last one is working on it. I think he appreciated the fact that we made him a safe hole AND a tiny hole in his membrane because shortly after that, BOOM, his head came out. When he told me, I was like TELL ME YOU DIDN"T PULL IT OUT. AHHHH, he said he didn't the little guy did it all on his own which is GREAT he's mostly almost fully absorbed..

Right now we have to keep taken warm water and a qtip and clean around his nostrils, beak, neck, rub his back for stimulation and keep his membrane wet. Need to do this every two hours but I don't think he will be available to do this. SOO the only option is to have someone go in there an spray him every three to four hours, we can't have that membrane drying up it will get hard as a rock and confine the little guy..

I think once we keep clean him and he is able to sneeze some of that gooy stuff out, because I'm sure he took some in and that's why his breathing isn't the best right now, but to get it out is to keep those nostrils clear. Spraying would be great because he can inhale some moisture and loosen that crap up and sneeze it out. but I'm a little afraid of his availability today. He texted me this morning saying he has to work from 8 to 4 and that baby is going to need AT LEAST one spray down..

I'm kinda surprised he didn't take the day off. I know I sure as heck would have! Did he say if there's ANYONE there to supervise the babies?

I can have my mom drive over and spray them down. I am going on vacation for two weeks in a few weeks and I had a meeting and had a lot of work to do. I will have my mom spray him. Maybe I can convince her to spray him twice? My mom is a bit squeamish but I am sure she would do it.

His yolk sac had that goo on it and then dried and is like gooey and hard and it is really holding him in. It is very evident. He was kicking his little leg but the stiff held him down. His head was also stuck ion the yolk goo but I was able to clean his head up. I was worried about taking any of the yolk goo out incase it broke. I now think I should have just taken off....
