Here are Perdy's first two little eggs. Are they too dirty? I'm in Nursing school, so I know all about germs. Lol, my concern was that the little bit of mess that is on them would harbor microorganisms in the 100 degree incubator. I definitely do not want that to happen.

Well you are right to be concerned but in nature that happens all the time, the eggs can be dirty but unless the whole egg is coated where no pores are open, then the egg should be fine.

These would be examples of "ancona" (the one tammy posted is actually one of mine!). Notice how these are primarily white birds with random spotting or speckles?

Not if your incubating them, just wipe them with a paper towel no water
