Call Ducks Finally Hatched

I don't have a problem spending $100 or more on a good incubator, I know you get what you pay for. I just don't want to get the most expensive thing out there when something less expensive will do just as well. :)

I'll take a look a the rcom mini, I think three eggs would be a good amount to start.

(This one? http://www.amazon.com/R-Com-Plastic-Digital-Auto-Turning-Incubator/dp/B00OK5S0QW )

That's the one! Another one I've seen excellent reviews for was the Brinsea mini advance, it holds 6 eggs and is also fully automatic. And unlike the rcom you can manually set the temperature, which is a huge bonus. With the rcom you just set the bird species and it does the rest, which I'm not too thrilled about. Optimally I'd like to be able to change the humidity and bump the temp just a tiiiiny bit, but as I said, I've had very good results with it so I can't complain too much.

Nice. The Brinsea was the one I had on my wishlist, along with this one: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001O4L9LK...TF8&colid=3Q05GTM60N3L0&coliid=I344HQZVS9I7QW

Are they any good?

Eh, I've heard good and bad things about the hovabator. There's an excellent product rating section right here on BYC, I'm pretty sure they rated this thing so I'd go check it out! It's made of styrofoam, which right off the bat I don't trust. Easily breakable, and not great at maintaining consistent temps.

Honestly, I'd go with the Brinsea. If I could go back in time and do it all over again I'd have bought it instead of my rcom mini, if only for the larger capacity and the ability to manually set the temp and humidity levels. If I had I might have 6 developing eggs right now instead of just 3 ;-;

Gotcha. I'll go look at the product ratings section! Good thing I have until next year to decide.
