Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Yeah, you have a point. But as a big believer of dry incubating 40% still seems pretty high! Not sure how to make it any lower, honestly. There's no water in the bator at all!

Mine is set at 27%. I haven't sprayed or anything just going to let it go, but making sure I plug the darn thing in when I candle. Lol

Oh what a cute baby Larsystol! I can't wait for mine to start hatching!
My first egg will be hatching in 6 days. I am pretty sure I have the humidity just right, 27. The temp. Has held just right, between 99 and 100. I am crossing my fingers for no problems. I hate stickey eggs!!!

Have you tried anything new as far as saving a sticky baby?? I know last year we experiemented a lot try to figure something out. One thing I have tried is spraying the eggs to try and loosen some of it up, I can tell you it doesn't work. Lol so another thing I had someone jack there humiidity up high, this only will work is there's no other eggs or other eggs thst are sticky. Seems like high humidity and the hole helps drain some but you have to watch for them to dry up and stick to the bottom of your bator. Soooo the experiment continues for me...

I haven't had any stickey eggs yet. I add 1/8 cup water once a week. It goes down to 16 percent before the end of the week. If I get any sticky eggs, I will try draining, and a dry incubater for lockdown. But I am watching these eggs carefully. If I see any hint of extra fluid in the egg, I put them in a dry inkie for a few days. So what I am going for is prevention rather than a cure at this point.

It won't be long before I find out how this worked. So far they all look good, and I haven't had any die in the shell. This is how I hatched the last egg I got last fall. For that one egg it turned out just right.

I want to spray mine to help with the evaporation process, but in such a tiny minibator all it seems to do is ratchet the humidity up to near 100% for several hours!
