Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Yes, it was in the right position. As I mentioned there was no crust or foam around the mouth or nares so I really don't think it drowned, but it was just so peculiar. It almost looked like a tiny pelican, the way its lower jaw membrane was distended. But again, I have no idea if that's just strange phenomenon resulting from decomposition. It was in there all night so it could have already been dead for hours when I checked on it this morning. Poor lil' guy...

Still no change in the quiet egg, but egg #2 is going crazy trying to crack that egg!
Amy what does this mean???? The part that I put in BOLD??

Where has this one cracked? Air cell, upside down, or in the middle?

It's cracked right on the dot where I thought it would, smack in the proper position. It's still moving and making noises, just a little bit fainter. It's been 14 hours since it pipped at 3 AM last night. I have not touched hide nor hair of the egg since, although I've been cooing at it to coax it and get it to respond.

Now, what about you? Were you able to call into an emergency clinic? If so, what did they say? They would know better than Cas would, better than I would. Google just can't beat solid hands-on experience and it sounds like your vet knows his stuff.
