You know, why are you so mean to me, Lacry? Projecting your own negative emotions, accusing me of panicking, threatening to steal away what could very well be my only surviving baby because you're convinced I'm not doing a good job. These are all very hurtful things to say to another person. Please don't treat me like I am going in blind and stupid, because although I may not be a hatching veteran I am still an animal caregiver, have dealt with plenty of bloody and delicate operations, and can employ common sense. From the sounds of things, I did everything to the letter. All I can do now is wait and keep a close eye on the egg.

FIRST, I'm not trying to be mean, the issue here is I can't see what you doing, So what I read is OK pealed him back, starting bleeding put him back. To me That's panic, EVERYONE does it. Everyone freaks out, If I recall before they even got to lockdown, you were freaking out and nerves. So the emotions inside are already in an uproar...

I didn't threatned to steal him, that was a JOKE, I MEAN REALLY DO YOU THINK I'M GONNA MAKE A TRIP TO WHERE YOUR AT??? Come on!! have a sense of humor?? I have NOT once said anything about you do a bad job. I can't see what your doing so I can't even make that judgement.

Alls I ask is if you want assists then listen to what I say and so far i'm not getting that. so I have to wash my hands to this. I can't help those that wont listen to the help..

Since we all love pics, I thought I'd throw out a few of my 4th and final one to hatch. It pipped just below the air cell, beak was hanging out the hole for a long time. But luckily, I could usually see inside the hole and hear it peeping, so I kept my distance and my fingers crossed.
I went through Sally Sunshine's assist post, and my Storey's Guide, and decided I would wait 48 hours before helping, if he was still in distress. So... I went to work this morning, couldn't get a darn thing done from worrying, so I came home and he had made it out on his own. About 41 hours from the time it broke the shell. I'm guessing at the time, based on how dry and fluffy he was by the time I got home.
Anyway, here's my little Opie. (He does have a bit of navel popped out, so I'm praying its not infected!)

Swedish ducks, by the way, not Calls. I might try my hand at Calls some day.

I worry that if he aspirates food it will kill him. How is he now?

Well he's still hanging in there, just getting weaker and weaker, I don't think he'l be here by morning though, He's just not pulling through.

Well I got to thinking, If he can't keep water down, THERE's Absolutely NO way he's gonna keep food down and I think your right, hell just aspirate.. So I don't want to risk that, i can tell he's very very thirsty but is having such a hard time drinking. Right now I'm not sure what to do or think.
