Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Here's my little secret weapons, they are in a box next to the incubator, hopefully their noise making will encourage their little siblings in the incubator. :D

Use them one day before hatching day

Thank you so much. You are a real dear to love our ducks like you do! These are all Swedish. Well, that's what the eggs I bought were supposed to be lol. They were advertised as blue, black, or splash. I don't know if blacks are supposed to have the green on them or not honestly! I think Tiggy's wingbar is beautiful too. Wait till I get a pic when it looks purple! Oh, I haven't gotten a good pic of Juice's wingbar yet. Its brown! Really nice chocolate brown. I'll get one soon. Again, I appreciate you!

((I forgot I was on the Call duck thread again. Mine aren't calls, obviously... ))
Thank you and you are welcome. I am amazed how much BYC has become such a big part of my life. It is so fun and I love the ducks and pictures and stories. Ducks are not a mainstream pet and I enjoy that there are other people who have them and understand the love for them.

I'd love to see the purple in Tiggy's wing bar. And it would be neat to see Juice's brown one too. I love the wing bars on ducks. I am always asking my friend John if his Rouen's has developed yet. She just bloomed into a feathered webber from a fuzzlet. He said she has them now.

OK, I have a little brat, He's a grey Call. he's got 5 other ducks with him, my others finally hatched out and He did hatch with his brother or sister on the same day, NOW Every time I leave the ROOM, this little grey CRIES.

OMG, He has TWO stuffed animals, 5 Friends and a heater fan right next to him, and yet HE cries when I leave. What am I missing?? I have never had a cry baby like this one. LOL, He's OK as long as I'm in the room, I have no clue how he survives when I'm at work..

Aww, poor little sweetheart. Too bad he can't go with you. How was he today when you got home? Give him a kiss for me.

Soon as I walked in the door and talked he did that happy voice. Lol I gave him a pie pan of water so that he can play in the water without swimming since he's not a week old yet. And he loved it. He even got soooooo excited that he jumped out and took off like a rocket. Boy they are fast when they are young. But everytime I use the bathroom or leave the room OMG he's at it again. Lol

What a sweet little duckling. He knew you were home and responded. So smart. Shooting off like a rocket is a wonderful vision. Imagining a tiny call baby speeding about with his webbed feet is too much. Can you post pics when it is convenient?

Just got off work after a 15 hour work day, this is day 26 and i find this one egg out of 20 who is 1/2 way pipped out of his shell, pulled him out and manually pipped him out the rest of the way, he's fully formed, no blood vessels showing anywhere, yoke sack is all absorbed, and there is this green slime that came out of the shell that i've never seen in all my years, and also there was shell stuck to his little wing that i had to run under hot faucet for awhile to get it off, what should i do? There are 19 more eggs, should i start breaking them out? I have another 12 to 15 hr work shift tomorrow before i get a day off, am worried that they 'll be dead by tomorrow night!

5 eggtopsy's later i've found 5 fully formed dead ducklings, it seems once again i managed to drown 95% of them, don't know how it could have happened, i so restricted the amount of humidity from last year. It's gonna be a long time before i can eat another egg.
