Awww. Too cute :) Love the snuggles. They grow out them too quick. I have 16 due this week. Wondering how many are going to make it :/

This one being an 'only child' is super cuddly... and harder to get her to realize she's a duck and is going to live with the rest of the ducks, lol... the bigger ones are trying very hard to get to know her, but she acts like they're gonna eat her... :/
Hope you get a good hatch!! Still got those last 3 eggs from you going strong...
And the big kids are getting close to finishing their adult feathers/colors... will get more pics soon... :)

You are so lucky that adorable little bitty thing cuddles with you. Look at the top of her little head. I'd kiss her there in a second.

I was wondering, if they are able to fly into the pen, how do the little sillies get stuck in them? It's so sweet they snuggle with you when you rescue them but not after that. It is like they are relieved and then all like, put me down.

Julie, our property is mostly a large hill, our house is at the top and the ducks area is right in front... they're just learning to fly and bank but haven't mastered it yet... they fly downhill along the row of pens and bank around at the bottom and try to cross over them but lose altitude coming back up... they tend to pick a pen and land there and wait for me to go get them... chickens stay away from them and they stand there pretty as you please til I get them out, lol...
Think the big thing is that they are spoiled and know I'll just get them so they don't panic or call out, just wait calmly...

Heehee. Cute little learner pilot duck birds. I love how they wait patiently. I can imagine them in a pen waiting, and when you walk up to rescue one, he or she just looks up at you innocently, blinking his eyes sweetly. I'd have to love squeeze the little thing.

Yep, that's what happens! :D

Just add their chatter when I get close of them telling me all about their awesome flight and undignified landing in a chicken pen that was put in their way!
