Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Thank you. Yes, my incubator will hold a couple hundred eggs. If you still want some youngsters when they're ready though you'll be the first I'll let know. Do you have chickens too or just ducks?

Whoop!!!! Yes definitely sign me up for the youngsters!!! Right now I just have the ducks, button quail, and then I have 43 bobwhites hatching out and haven't decided yet if I'm going to raise them or not. No chickens!!! Nothing against them and I will actually buy up any hatching eggs this weekend at the Sanford auction, so some may make their way into my home. Ha.

lol. Always wanted to check out one of those auctions but have never made it up there. Having a family garage sale at my house this weekend so won't make it for this one either . I will definitely let you know when the little ones start hatching and keep you updated.

If Lacrystol would accept an already hatched youngster, and I have one that is, I'd send her a magpie that she's been wanting for all her help with the babies. Will have to figure out something

I love the auctions! Well candled all my eggs again, LOL. All 3 from NC are alive and kicking. They go into lockdown Monday. The remaining 7 from PA are all alive and kicking. They go into lockdown on the 13th. I'm not candling all 43 bobwhites again I just did a couple and they are still alive. I can't believe all 3 from NC are still alive. That's great. Probably because it was only 3, they were individually wrapped and packaged with the large end up. Feeling for Cathy though (my friend). REALLY hope I wake up to a message that hers hatched or did something overnight! She was feeling pretty discouraged today!

Very cautiously. I am always very tentative and adamant about the turning and counting. They will be marked tomorrow though as it will be too hard to count and keep track of 76 unmarked eggs LOL

Let me see if I got this right, The one that hatched today, was the loner, you were suppose to lock her down by raising the humidity but we didn't because you had more that are not due yet is that correct?

Now if this is the case, THAT"S great, it's a miracle she did make it out seeing how her humidity was low. Now the others should hatch just fine.. WHEW..
