Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Good Morning to my BYC family

OMG, SHE IS SOOOO CUTE....yeh she needs a smaller friend to climb on, they usually don't go underneath stuff animals like chickens, they like to be on top. Kind of like with a momma duck, the babies will lay right on top of a momma duck..

I can't speak for call ducks but my brooder is literally a rabbit cage or storage tub with a reptile heat lamp. Done this with ducks, buttons, and coturnix and no issues yet.

I think we are lucky with living in Florida, the temp and humidity is so high around here that we don't need to be so exact with the temps. BUT she is by herself so no buddies to cuddle with if its not warm enough....

PS is 3 weeks OK to move ducklings outside???? I have my others due to hatch and I need to free up the brooder. I've been shutting the heat lamp off during the day and it hasn't bothered them yet. Temps get down in the low 60s at night right now.....
Three weeks is OK, the rule of thumb is as you are lowering the temp each week, once you get to 70 you should be OK.. Your gonna have a problem though, they will probably be following you right to your door step. LOL

Mine did, each night I got to hear YAP YAP YAP, sure enough my youngsters were at the door stop wanting to come in. They wouldn't let me pick them up and carry them, NOOO they wanted to walk in the house. LOL.. Apparently they have not mastered how to climb stairs. LOL

I finally had to confine them at night to there own little area, once they GREW UP, and settled in with the others, they did just fine.

Super bummed. Cathy opened her eggs and all 3 were fully formed but dead.

Does anyone know what makes this happen?! I am so worried now that all mine will die

or at least the ones I got from the same place.
Sounds like they struggled getting out, possibly humidity. Did they pipped? Were they sticky or very dry? With the hole they should have been dry but if they haven't pipped, would explain the stickiness.

If you had a picture of one of them, I could tell right away what the problem was. I know sounds grose, a dead baby but it's the only way to learn to make changes.

Alright girls, tell me what you think about my SECOND Method, the way you access it and I will fix that tonight, is you have to click on the Duck tab. Once your in that tab, put your mouse over the "duck" tab and the Two methods should appear..

No she's not big on pictures. She said one was formed to the point it should have hatched, the other two looks like they stopped about 3 days ago. (She's been hatching for years but I haven't so sometimes the way she explains things goes over my head)

She also said when candled yesterday, they looked like 25 day eggs. So she thinks they quit on day 25 but doesn't know why.

They never pipped, never rocked, nothing.
