Call Ducks Finally Hatched

If you have them on a turner, I would think twice about continuing it. For some reason I have found that duck eggs, do better if they are laying down.. So my only suggestion to you, since you have growth, lay them down. Don't worry about the loose air cell any more, you already have the process started so you are beyond the "toss those eggs point". If you lay them down and turn them three times a day, you should be OK.

If you go to my website www.lwbarnhouse.com put your mouse over the Duck tab you will see a link to my method of hatching call ducks. This method works for any kind of ducks. May want to consider trying this method..

Should help you success in getting these bad boys to hatch.. LOL... WOOO HOOOOO

Okay good! I hand turn 3 times a day. Laid them back on their sides. I'll continue monitoring them.

I have more duck hatching eggs coming, if I notice this prior to incubating is there anything I should do before I put them in the bator?

OK did you seal up those cracks before placing them in?

What? I should put it in? Crap. I thought with the little hole there was no hope. Should I seal it up and put it in??

Loose air cell needs an extra step, I explain that in the beginning of my method page. Just set them on a turner big end up and each day shift them back and forth, the idea is to keep them still most of the time so they can stick back into place but not to allow the embry to stick to the side of the shell.. So just a couple of times a day of the shift should be good enough or you can do three times a day to get yourself in the three times a day turning habit.

The most important thing I so get those babies laying down as soon as they start to develop, at this point doesn't matter if the air cell stuck or not...
