Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Hey congrats on the 16 you have ready to hatch. What will you do if all of the next 60 all hatch!!!  Wow! that is allot of ducks!!!
I have been curbing my candling addiction because I worried that was bad for them. So I can candle, cool! I did today though, before taping them down.

Not all 60 will be fertile or hatch. Incubating them is a project to check fertility for the breeder I got my last batch of eggs from.

Candling doesn't hurt them as long as you're not using a hot light bulb to do so. I candle mine almost every day once they start growing. I love seeing and watching them move around in there

I usually cry and then get ****** off. I thought about snapshotting the Convo between me and her and posting it all over the Internet so people won't buy from her. But you know things always come back to bite me in the ***.

I had told her I would pick the birds up Friday. I told my friend I would pick the birds up Friday.

My friend misunderstood and thought I meant Friday 2 weeks from now since the swap meet is in two weeks. So she said that to the lady. So she blew up at her and me accusing me of lying about the prices ( she told me the quad was $120 she charged my friend $130, I guess it was a different quad according to her) so I had told my friend I thought that was strange and she mentioned it to her.

So I "lied" about the price she quoted me, and I was planning on "disappearing" with the birds. (My friend has my address???) so not sure how I could do that. She also accused me of wanting to do it because I wanted to "steal" as many eggs as they laid between now and the meet (which I can't because I can't incubate since I'm going home for Christmas).

She also said something along the lines of "don't tell me you actually think your care is somehow superior to mine blah blah blah" which has nothing to do with it.

She's a rude, vial woman. I will never recommend anyone to her.

And I have no idea why she cares if I took eggs. The birds are no longer hers as my friend has already paid for them. But that's neither here nor there.

I've just been overly stressed so it hit home.

Well that's just plain stupid because two week old eggs are going to do you absolutely no good!!! Lol

Eggs lose there fertility after 10 days, it's still possible to have a hatching but the odds are really against you. Lol

Hum, superior care, I kind of like that, that line right there tells me she is totally jealous, something About you makes her jeolous, I'm thinking maybe you have a better flock then hers?? Perhaps you should send her pictures of your flocks butts and say " here's your superior". Lol..

Well she could always give your friend a refund, she's not obligated to give the birds to her and unless you have something in writing like a receipt or something, in the court of law, your friend would be s**t out of luck.. This woman could turn around and say she never paid a dime and sent someone(you) to take her birds...

Might want to be are with this lady, is she the one I had said go else where???? If she is I'm not going to say HELLO I TOLD YOU SO!!! Lol

I promise I won't do it.... Nope can't make me....

You're very welcome. Lacrystol is right, should have been more clear in my previous post. Do not "lock down" or raise humidity until day 23. Just stop turning on day 22. This gives them a little extra time to get into hatching position Still mist them on day 22 but stop that on day 23 as well. If all 7 are still moving and growing on day 19 you're doing great so far 1 more week and out come the little peepers. I just turned my 16 for the last time. They are due on Saturday. I candled all of them and all are still kicking. 2 are already pushing the membrane up into the air space. Tomorrow night I will raise the humidity. After this hatch I have 60 more that are on day 3 today lol. Will have to wait a little longer to see how many of those are viable Keep us updated on your little ones

Hope you're around Saturday in case I have to help any of these boogers out. That's one thing I haven't had to deal with yet. I'm sure with more and more hatchlings the time will come.

I'm ready just hope we don't have a four in the morning hatching, lol, ouch that one was rough.
