Call Ducks Finally Hatched

::GASP:: I thought they had their swim suits on I swear!!! They must have taken them off when I snapped this!! LOL

HAHAHA too funny!!! My babies are finally out in the coop tonight for the first night. I still worry every first night and check on them several times throughout the night. I also ended up getting a pair of mandarins last month so that puts me at 27 ducks All calls except the 1 pair of mandarins. The new call babies are feathering in nicely. I'm really loving the blues but there are still 2 in this batch that I'm not sure on what color they are so waiting for some more feathers.

I have 3 whites, 2 black bibbed, 1 grey and 1 white with a few black spots that are ready to sell if interested. They are $20 each.

I have 1 blue magpie in the newest batch. I will breed to one of the black bibbed to produce more blue and black magpies. He/She is such a dark blue. So pretty.

I'll take the white with black spots. Leaving for IL Monday though I'll be back in January and I'll get ahold of you about pickup. Vera is coming up January 4th to go to an auction with me so might have her pay/pickup from you if that works?

My adults are a pair of grey SQ calls, east indie black hen BQ, SQ snowy drake, I THINK a snowy hen SQ, and a pet quality blue fawn drake.

The blue fawn drake will get sold because he's unfortunately way too big.

Then the two little ones. Eggs will be a surprise!

HORRIBLE NEWS FOR ME.


My tailless call duck went missing yesterday, I was locking everyone up and he was no wheres to be find BUT that night My three new babies went out, the Mallard, The Chocolate Bibbed and my Wanna be Magpie.

I will say the Magpie is no longer a magpie, he is turning into a bibbed. The white under his belly, well Black feathers are coming in.


Now here's the terrible news, Yesterday was the first time all the kids got to see what the real world is like, the Kids are actually hanging out with SASSY. Sassy has adopted them and is showing them around and what not.

Well while I was doing some Christmas shopping I get a text I JUST CHASED A HAWK OUT OF THE YARD!!! GRRRRR. Well it appears the hawk Helped himself to the Mallard. So now I have the two babies.

I'm devastated...

Oh no I'm so sorry!! We just finished building our enclosure for the ducks. 2X4 welded wire all over and we used it for the top too!!!

I'm soo worried about my little ones today, I hope that hawk got enough to eat and is GONE, if not I will help him be GONE. If I every catch him, he will get a BULLET to the head. How dare him pick on my little babies.. HOW DARE HIM, THIS IS WAR!!!
