Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Beautiful! Definitely want. Yes if you can make a best guess that would be nice but I'll take it either way. Vera got ahold of you correct? She said she can either grab him/her on the 4th or the 9th I think.

Can't believe how big your babies have gotten!! Keep me updated on the second batch I'll possibly grab one or two from that batch too depending on what colors you have available to sell.

Exciting that you got an egg!! Mine were breeding when I left for IL so will be exciting to see if I have eggs when I get back!

I moved the two babies in with the adults. The adults were great with them! Within a couple days they were all running around like a happy family!

Yes, Vera and I spoke. She's going to let me know what day/time works for her when the time gets closer. I will separate the little one from the rest this weekend so I can hear her voice and be sure it's hers I'm hearing lol. Will let you know. My babies are in with the adults also and they all flock together. Took longer to mingle the adults together but they accepted the babies within a couple of days. I'm so excited about my first egg. Wish I knew if it came from my silver apricot hen or my buff hen but either way it's exciting. Hope they keep laying and that they're fertile :)

Ok so if I had to guess right now I would say she's a female. She quacks. She doesn't chatter like my males do. Her voice is a llittle more hoarse than my adult females but she only quacked, never chattered. Hope your vacation is going well.

Got a 2nd egg on Thur but not 1 yesterday so we'll see if they lay another today. If no others by tomorrow I will go ahead and put the 2 in the incubator and see what happens.

Oh good to hear hope you get another one to help the odds!!
Nice that "she" is probably quacking. I haven't tried guessing on my two little ones but will when I get home. Talked to my dad today he said they are all having an absolute blast in their new pen. I'm excited to check for eggs!

Great news! Good luck with the eggs. Your little ones are still probably too young to tell by voice but never hurts to guess :). Based on feather color of the chest I'm thinking that my 3 blue fawns from this clutch are males. Not sure on the blue magpie. His/her chest feathers look to be coming in blue instead of white. Will have to wait and see. There is 1 really dark mallard type that I can't wait to see feather out and 1 normal mallard type. There are 3 more whites in this batch too. Waiting to see if any have spots like the 2 in the last clutch. The 2 with spots are the smallest of the clutch. I'm keeping all 4 blues and probably the dark mallard type, also the little white 1 that has the bad foot. Will see how the others grow and feather out compared to the last clutch that's a few weeks older.

Will you be selling any of the blue fawns if they are all male? I need to replace my male since he's pet quality.
